Adroit get podium place in Best Use of FastStats 2017
Adroit were delighted to be awarded 3rd place in the competition for Best User of FastStats 2017 in the Apteco User Conference held at The Mermaid, in London. There were five finalists including Greggs, Everton Football Club, the NEC Group and Canon printers.
Steve Andrews, Chief of Fundraising Strategy and Investment, UNICEF spoke with Nigel Magson and Ross Swain of Adroit, on how the FastStats technology was enabling fundraising investment planning for the IFL Forum.
The Global Donor Benchmarking Initiative (known as Indigo - a play on “Donor Insight” and NGO) is a unique and prestigious project within the not-for-profit sector and has now been running for nine years on an annual basis, it was established by the IFL Forum, a group of leading INGOs to facilitate fundraising performance analysis and benchmarking for both their INGO headquarters and their fundraising offices throughout the world.
In 2017, a pilot year for the new approach, the study involved over 80 individual organisations and markets. This includes European, Asian, North & South American markets, and allowed organisations to understand in detail how they are performing in their individual fundraising. FastStats is at the heart of the solution:
Adroit have developed a large base of metrics for each NGO to support analysis & planning of their fundraising programs based on their actual gift transactional data, and other information held at the anonymised account or supporter level, which is processed and normalised. The study is set to expand during 2018/19.
Users have noted that we have “revolutionised” the benchmarking deliverables by developing specific insight and applications aimed at senior fundraisers. One application called Indigo, is loaded from Apteco’s FastStats analytics system. This currently contains 76 million donors and 400 million+ gift records, and can be accessed by each organisations’ analysts to drill down to more ad-hoc analysis. This allows different users to access information from the same dataset and gain insight relevant to their markets. The applications are now being used globally by hundreds of fundraisers to better understand the dynamics in their market and how they compare against similar organisations. Adroit provide training, support, knowledge base articles and user forums for each market.
